UK Calibration – Terms & Conditions of Service
UK Calibration provides professional calibration, service, and repair services across a wide range of equipment, delivered either onsite or at agreed locations. These Terms & Conditions outline the responsibilities of both UK Calibration and the Client.
By engaging UK Calibration’s services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Service Provision
UK Calibration will carry out calibration, servicing, and repair work using suitably qualified personnel and appropriate equipment.
Services may be delivered onsite at the Client’s premises or at an agreed location depending on the nature of the work.
2. Client Responsibilities
The Client is responsible for ensuring:
Safe and suitable access to equipment and working areas
Equipment is available, accessible, and ready for calibration
A safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Any required permits, permissions, or site inductions are provided
Failure to meet these requirements may result in delays or additional charges.
3. Equipment Condition
All equipment presented for calibration must be in a safe and serviceable condition.
UK Calibration reserves the right to refuse to work on equipment that is unsafe, damaged, or unsuitable. Any faults identified during calibration may be reported to the Client, and additional work may be quoted separately.
4. Access & Facilities
Where services are carried out onsite, the Client must provide suitable working space, access to equipment, and any necessary utilities.
If access is restricted or delayed, additional charges may apply.
5. Certification & Documentation
Calibration certificates and reports will be issued following completion of work and subject to full payment.
Certificates will detail the results of calibration and any relevant observations at the time of testing.
6. Fees & Payment Terms
All fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
Invoices are payable within 21 days of the invoice date. Late payments may be subject to interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
UK Calibration reserves the right to withhold certification or documentation until full payment has been received.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
UK Calibration reserves the right to apply the following charges:
Up to 14 working days before the scheduled service – 10% of the total fee
14 working days or less – 50% of the total fee
7 working days or less – 100% of the total fee
All cancellations must be made in writing. The effective date of cancellation is when written notice is received.
Rescheduling may be accommodated at UK Calibration’s discretion.
8. Liability
UK Calibration will take all reasonable care in the provision of its services.
However, UK Calibration shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses
Loss of business, revenue, or profits
Total liability shall be limited to the value of the contract for the services provided.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Delays & Force Majeure
UK Calibration shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Equipment failure
Site access restrictions
Weather conditions
Transport or supply disruptions
10. Compliance & Standards
Calibration work is carried out using equipment and procedures traceable to recognised standards where applicable.
Unless explicitly stated, UK Calibration does not claim accreditation by any specific governing body.
11. Variation of Terms
These Terms & Conditions may only be varied by written agreement between UK Calibration and the Client.
